Thioredoxin-2 from Anabaena

This is an example of a thioredoxin to show the thioredoxin fold. Note the twisted β-sheet with α-helices on each side. Catalytic cysteines are located in α2 and colored grey.

Peroxiredoxin 5

This is an example of a peroxiredoxin. Note the twisted β-sheet with α-helices on each side. 

Prx5 is an atypical 2-Cys Prx.  When oxidized, the CP forms a disulfide bond with the CR on the same subunit.  The CP is Cys47 in α2, colored magenta. The CR is grey.
